Went there with Sissies n BFs.. I personally loveeeeeeeeee the Cerious maple (maple syrup withcrunchy maple cereals) and Sir cookies and cream.. (Rich vanilla with good old Oreo cookies). Nutty peanut butter was out of stock… Have not tried pirate queen peach yet since she’s new.. The ambiance was not bad actually…Low lighting and candle lights.. And and and.. they will give u a 50 cents carpark coupon every $10 u spent…  Becos the “Fatimah” there very onz… How sweet right… to think of that…

However, I think that the place is a bit crowded.. time for some expansion!

Went cycling with hubby last Saturday…

As I was not ready to ride on human pavement, hubby drove to the park and we cycled ard the parks instead…

We started at somewhere near Jurong lake park… to Chinese garden back to Jurong lake park to Japanese garden.. all the way to the end, opp golf course and next to AYE… then we went back to Jurong lake park…

This is the second time we’re out for cycling trip.. We took abt 1 hr++ Taken some shots while cycling… and once again had our favourite Chocolate mint ice cream outside of Chinese garden. .

I think i looked fat in this pic… Haiz.. i do have a bigg ASS but i’m wearing a man’s t-shirt.. =(

Recycle

Turn it off
Turn off televisions, videos, stereos and computers when they are not in use – these appliances still use 10-60% of power even when on ‘stand by’. A power strip is a practical way to switch off VCR, TV and DVD player stand-by losses; you can cut off all 3 devices at once. Another tip to save energy: Don’t leave chargers for mobile phones plugged in when you’re not using them.

Switch to renewable energy
Buy non-polluting green electricity – electricity generated from natural sources such as solar, hydro and wind power – from your utilities company. Save paper
Around the world we use 1 million tonnes of paper every day. Too much of this paper usage is wasteful and unnecessary and puts huge pressures on the environment. Find out how you can save paper.

Building or renovating your home?

Get your house audited
Ask your local electric or gas supplier to perform an energy audit of your house or apartment. Then put the recommendations into practice. If they don’t currently offer such a service, ask them to introduce it.

Weatherize your home
Insulate your doorways and windows. Draughts also get in through gaps in floorboards and skirting boards, which also allows heat to escape in winter. Stop this energy loss by filling these gaps with newspaper, beading or sealant. Make sure your walls and ceilings are insulated. Install double pane windows to keep more heat inside your home. And remember to close your curtains at night to stop heat from escaping through your windows.

Blowing away
Turn off bathroom ventilating fans after leaving the room – these fans can blow out a house full of heated air if left on.

Safer paint
Repaint your house with latex paint instead of oil-based paint. Latex paint releases significantly fewer harmful fumes while drying.

Use water efficiently
Public water systems require a lot of energy to purify and distribute water to households. Saving water, especially hot water, can lower greenhouse gas emissions.

Turn it off
Do not let the water run while shaving, brushing teeth or washing vegetables. Reuse water from washing vegetables to water house plants.

Fix dripping taps
A tap dripping 45 times per minute wastes around 1,000 litres of water a month, the equivalent of 10 baths per year. Fix leaking taps and make sure they’re fully turned off.

Short showers are best
Take a short shower instead of a bath if possible. Make sure the water thermostat isn’t set above 60°C (140°F). Using less water in the shower means less energy to heat the water. Water-saving, low-flow shower heads deliver good performance for only half of the water use (5-7 litres per minute instead of 10-18 litres per minute; a savings of 70,000 litres over 10 years).

Flush wisely
Save water by installing 2-button double flush toilets.

Wash economically
Use your washing machine or dishwasher only when you have a full load. Use biodegradable washing powder suitable for low temperature washes and select economy programmes. Studies show that washing your clothes at 30°C (86°F) rather than 40°C (104°F) reduces electricity consumption on average by around 40%.

Hang it out to dry
Traditional clothes dryers are energy intensive. So-called “condensation” models – dryers without an exhaust tube – use even more energy. If possible, dry your clothes on a clothes line outside in the fresh air. If this is not an option, make sure your washing machine is spinning your clothes properly, reducing drying time. Drying through spinning is 20 times less energy intensive than with heat.

Buy energy-efficient appliances
If you plan on buying a washing machine, refrigerator, dishwasher or oven, choose the most energy-efficient model you can afford. They might be a little more expensive but they pay for themselves through lower energy bills. A high-efficiency refrigerator, for example, consumes around 100 kWh per year – this is 10 times less than the average consumption rate for refrigerators in the US and 4 times less than the average in the EU. Keep your kettle energy-friendly
When using a kettle, only boil as much water as you need. It will save electricity and boil water more quickly.

Switch off
A no-brainer. Turn off lights when you don’t need them – it saves energy … and on the electric bill!

Replace the lights you use most with compact fluorescent lamps. They may cost more than ordinary lamps but you end up saving money because they use only around 25% of the electricity needed to provide the same light. And, they can save up to 80% on your next electric bill and last up to 8 times longer.

Make the light work for you
Have you paid attention to your light fixtures lately? Clever use of reflectors and directional lamps to get the light where you need it can save you another 50% in energy costs and improve the overall lighting of your home.

Keep your cool
Don’t leave refrigerator doors open for longer than necessary; defrost regularly and keep the fridge at the right temperature. Make sure the door seals are airtight. Test them by closing the door over a piece of paper so it is half in and half out. If you can pull the paper out easily, the hinge may need adjustment or the seal may need replacing.

Turn it down
Set the temperature on your heating system a little lower to save energy. Sometimes putting on an extra sweater is more effective and it saves you money on heating bills. By turning down your thermostat by just 1°C, you can save up to 10% per year on heating bills.

Put on a jacket
Insulate your hot water tank with an insulated jacket cover – it only costs a small amount of money and, with all the heat it traps in, it pays for itself within months.

Keep up the maintenance
Keeping your heating and air conditioning systems well maintained helps them be more efficient while reducing fuel costs. Clean or replace dirty air conditioner filters as recommended.

Last Sunday.. we brought Ryan to a doggie swimming pool at Pasir Ris…

At 1st.. he was running ard the house as usual.. den i said “gai gai” and placed the doggie bag in front of him.. He dashed to me then ignored me upon seeing the bag.. he even tried  to run away from the bag.. den.. I said “no go in(pointing at the bag) no gai gai” and i pretend to open the door… Still he ignored me…Only after much persuasion.. He finally jumped into the bag and sat there… LOL.. den i faster zip up the bag.. heh heh.. tat’s how he got in…

I went to Bangkok for a  business trip last week..

This trip is for December’s meeting and I was there for site inspection.. I was spoil with lotsa  nice food and excellent service…

I stayed in Grand Millennium, 5* hotel in BKK for 2 days.. And was upgraded to executive club room with alot of benefits, which also include a complimentary 45 mins massage.. ; D

I must say.. Their variety of food is really huge as compared to Singapore’s..

I stayed in Intercontinental Hotel for my last nite in BKK because it is within walking distance to Platinum mall ^^

I went shopping on the last day of my trip.. When I was about to leave Platinum mall, it started to rain heavily, thus I decided to take a cab.. I realized that the cab driver did not on the meter.. So i asked politely for him to on it..

Guess what the cab drive tells me.. ” You’ll be stuck here for 1-2 Hrs, so we dun charge according to meter”..

WTH.. It only takes me 10-15 mins to walk from my hotel to Platinum mall… furthermore, I’ve a plane to catch..

So I got dwn.. and walk instead..

However.. luck wasn’t with me.. While walking.. a gust of wind blew towards me..

There I was.. From head to toe.. from outside to inside..  Totally drenched.. even with my umbrella.. AWWWW!

I’m now sick thanks to that stupid rain.. However, a good trip thou.. ; D

This year.. I have totally no time to shop for Dardar because of the assignments that I have.. and also.. I’m pretty broke.. (Cos save all the $$ for the house)……. In fact, both of us are broke.. LOL.. + Dardar was sick yesterday, thus a small and short celebration was held at JP.

We went to billy bombers for dinner…

I bought a Levis shirt + a card for dardar..

The house belongs to a modern young Indian couple. Generally not much renovations done in the house. I know that it is ex.. and I know this is not gonna be easy for both me and Desz… But since we like it.. y not? Our hard-earned savings will be gone at one shot after we get the keys for our house.. which is in maybe 4-6 months.. meanwhile.. we’ll continue to save as well.. for renovations etc etc.. We might hold on to the plan of renovating the house if we have not enough $$$..

I wanna thanks both my sissies and mummy.. who are constantly concern abt this issue..  and especially my sissies.. who are very detail and very careful.. who give me lots of advise and help on the procedure etc etc… W/o them.. I think I’ll not be so careful…

Although stress abt $$.. I know me and desz can go thru this together.. because.. it is our hearts which build up this home…; )

Ah ma used to take long bus rides over to my place when I was young..

She always brings bags and bags of food for my family..

She used to tie scorpion or plaits for me when I was little..

I still rmb once when she came visit us with a pot of soup..

It was really nice….

Only till we  know it was monkey soup… we almost puked..

That was long long time ago..

And every yr.. we would visit her during Chinese New yr.. She’ll  call us (Chia Cha Bo) which means vein woman..

That goes on for quite a while..  till a few yrs back, she fell badly..

In and out of hospital…………… till last wk.. when she stops consuming food and drink..

Today……… she gave in to death

Leaving  behind everything… and went to a better place….
